About Me

Marissa Patsey, LPCC (she/they)

My clinical work is shaped by experience across community mental health, higher education, and private practice, where I’ve supported adults navigating depression & anxiety, trauma, identity, relationships, and significant life transitions.

I believe meaningful change happens when people have space to slow down, reflect, and feel supported in making sense of their experiences. I’m less interested in fixing or pathologizing and more focused on helping people develop a clearer, more compassionate relationship with themselves.

My approach to therapy is grounded in care, curiosity, and respect for complexity. I practice from a queer-informed, trauma-aware perspective that recognizes how emotional distress is often shaped by relationships, systems, and the ways our nervous systems learn to adapt over time.

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time with family and furry loved ones, being and foraging in nature, reading, and staying connected with friends and colleagues.
